  • How about an easy way to add static routes and the ability to allow or disallow icmp reply on the WAN interface.

  • I agree with all the above comments. The one thing I do not want to see is the lost of existing features from the Enterprise version because we are calling it Home version. ClarkConnect did this by creating Home which turned to community, professional, and Enterprise. Don't get me wrong, ClarkConnect was solid and strong and I loved the feature list. What I hated was not being able to add more than 1 public IP or addting static 1-1 NAT entries or DMZ features unless you upgraded to professional or Enterprise. Same goes to upgrading from Professional to Enterprise in order to get unlimited e-mail accounts: ) Yes I was a long time user of ClarkConnect and it makes me happy to see the evolution to ClearOS.

I say keep everything you currently offer in the Enterprise version in the Home version, but build on what home users would want and need. You know Photos, Videos, Music, Gaming, etc...

I love the e-mail proxy feature in ClearOS, can't beat how simple it is to use. There was a guy that comment on making updates free or affordable to the home user. I couldnt agree more, but how do you cut deals for the same updates for home users and not Enterprise users? I can feel the ClearOS team on this, but boy you would draw a crowd if you did.

My One and only wish aside from what I wrote up above is to add what is called CountryBlock to the firewall features. PFsense has a module you can install that will Block all the subnets from the selected Counties you want to block. This feature is absoluty sweet. I am currently blocking every country but the US based IP's and my threat levels and Spam has litterally dropped off the grid. I use ClearOS as my prefilter and Untangle as my transparent bridge filter behind ClearOS. I don't do business in other countries and I don't plan on it, so I really have no issues with anyone from outside the US from being able to e-mail me or view my website, or access any of my hosted services.

The CountryBlock Module gets its updates from http://www.countryipblocks.net/

Thanks You Guys For A Wonderful Product.
