I have downloaded more than one clearos install (all of them are 7.9.1). I used Suse Linux, Leap 15.3 and 15.4 with KB3 to burn to a DVD. In any case they ended with a Kernel panic.
The system has 8GB of RAM, AMD Ryzen 5 5500 processor, 3.6Ghz clock
This is a UEFI MOBO (ASUS)
CR2: 00000000000000000
---[ end trace ec9af3360ccb3d46 ]---
Kernel panic - not syncing: Fatal exception
Kernel offset: 0x1ce00000 from 0xffffffff81000000 (relocation range: 0xffffffff80000000-0xffffffffbfffffff)
I can get Knoppix to boot and give me info on this system. And I had Suse Linux Leap 15.3 installed on it and it ran just fine.
But no ClearOS DVD I have will install on this system.
I have run the diagnostics (test this...) and effectively the same kernel panic is triggered. No matter what option I take the boot ends with a kernel panic.
What more do you need for this? And what am I doing wrong? Am I downloading a wrong ISO?
