I fired up my VM again today and did a yum update (to 7.2?) but it is broken:

You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem

Dec 21st 4 days since the last reply fresh re-install of 7.1 unable to update the updates just keep showing back up in the WebUI and yum update just errors out with

You have the clearos-centos-updates repository enabled, but clearos-updates is disabled. These two repos should almost always be in the same state - either both enabled or both disabled. If this is a Community Edition system, the easiest thing to do is enable the clearos-updates repository:
yum-config-manager --enable clearos-updates
