CLEARSDN REPOS offline ?
After doing a yum clean all, followed by yum update, I get errors:
http://mirror1-orem.clearsdn.com/clearos/professional/6/os/x86_64/repodata/repomd.xml: [Errno 12] Timeout on http://mirror1-orem.clearsdn.com/clearos/professional/6/os/x86_64/repodata/repomd.xml: (28, 'connect() timed out!')
I note this is affecting system registration for some folk

Hi all,
Just some post-mortem on the mirror incident. The primary mirror for the ClearOS repositories went offline. Generally speaking, this is no big deal since the mirror system is designed to withstand this type of inevitable failure. The mirror system is constantly monitoring all the download servers to make sure everything is in good order -- you can even see online status information here. Even when a mirror does go offline and is still in the mirror pool, yum will simply jump to the next mirror. Double robustness!
So what went wrong? In this particular incident, it was the main mirror that went offline. Instead of taking the main mirror out of the usual pool of available mirrors, the system incorrectly set the pool of mirrors to the single offline server. A small oversight with a big impact (been there... done that).
The issue has been fixed and apologies for the inconvenience.

Hi all,
There was a critical failure with the main mirror and work is being done to resolve the issue. The mirror system is supposed to fail over to other mirrors, but that isn't happening in this particular case. In fact, it's almost the opposite! The mirror system has taken all the good mirrors out of the pool and left the one bad mirror (mirror1-orem) in place. Someone has some "splainin" to do. -

Yep ... I am one of those who can't register their system. Perfect timing too. We just bought our shiny new subscription, schools starts in a week and I just drove 50 minutes on a beautiful Sunday to upgrade our COS server ... and I am sitting here without support, staring at the same lines popping up in the system log "requesting package: app-performance-tuning: requesting package: app-professional-reports, etc." hoping any minute now its going to change (I know it will soon since I am watching it).
And the worst part is there aren't any kids around to play with!
