Hi,

I am currently testing clearOS 7 and it I've noticed that I need to restart the content filter service (or dansguardian) in order for the changes to take effect. This is kinda weird as I do have a clearOS 6 box and all the changes take effect without restarting it. Im not sure if this is a bug or not, but I would like to let clearOS team to know about this.

Thanks,

Stefan M.

My ClearOS box seems fine. It even speeds up my internet because of the proxy (caching). I have approximately 40 users in my network.

You might wanna check into this: https://sfj48-fkj200.heiksthsd.cf/resources/documentation/clearos/content:en_us:kb_o_optimizing_performance_for_proxy_and_content_filter

I have cuztmized my squid cache to fit the number of users for my network. It might improve your connection too.

Not your fault. The forum is new and has a lot of teething issues. Hopefully the option of password protection will be removed. You're not the first person to have the issue. Also there appear to be two classes of mod - one who can see moderator only posts and one who can't!

Also Stefan, I think in your double post you may have checked the Moderator Only box. If you have, can you un-check it so I can delete the post?

One of you is password protecting these posts, probably because of some auto-fill program. I've removed the password from this thread.

Oh. That would have been lastpass I think. Disabling it for this site.

Additional info: I have installed Bandwidth manager (through yum). As I need to limit bandwidth per IP. Im not sure if this contributes to the bug (since this app is not in the marketplace)
