Hello,
i am interested how can i create a share what will be the mount point to my transmission folder, i was to open this share on my windows 7 pc. If create a new share all of them are created under /var/flexshare/shares there is any conf file to redirect the location to a different folder?
Thanks
Ervin

That is the concept behind the storage manager. There is some good documentation on it. What you can do, for example, is create a folder on your RAID array, perhaps calling it "flexshares". Then if you stop Windows Networking (and FTP/webserver) if you are using them, move everything under /var/flexshare/shares into your flexshares folder. Then "bind mount" your flexshares folder into /var/flexshare/shares and restart the apps. Now everything under flexshares will appear under /var/flexshare/shares and you can access it both ways.
If you have already activated web sites I think you may need to put your new bind mount above the web server bind mounts in /etc/fstab. You may even need to temporarily unmount web server mounts to do this.

I don't fully understand your set up, but you should be able to mount your flexshares in your other devices. Have a look at the mount.cifs command for your other devices. Or you can do it the other way round if your devices use samba shares. Otherwise you can use sshfs to mount any folder by ssh, but it is advisable to use ssh keys as user/pass is hard to script with ssh. Sharing by ssh is relatively slow because of the encryption overhead.
I don't know the nature of your DVB-S2 devices but if they are USB or PCI,check out V4l and something like MythTV or TVHeadEnd. You may be able to run them directly from ClearOS - most Centos instructions should work. -

You're genius Nick! A last question i got some DVB-S2 devices based on linux, i got a menu where i could create mountpoints, i would like to connect from them to my clearos server to record sport/movies when i am not home at the moment i am using usb memory pens for that, what is the best approach in your opinion?
