Hi.... I'm commissioning a new system but am unable to get past the System Registration part of the wizard, where it is stuck attempting to update. I have also tried to "yum update" from CLI but this fails to complete with the error "Error: Cannot retrieve repository metadata (repomd.xml) for repository: clearos" (see txt file for full output).

I really need to get this system configured today, so any help would be massively appreciated.

Cheers....... Andy

There is definitely something wrong. I'm doing a fresh install of 6.6 and my network is valid and working. I'm seeing the same fatal timeouts with the first mirror hit. Something down?

    hi

    yum update

Tried yum clean all and restart etc

Could it be something with the registration to clearcenter ?
    Marketplace doesn´t work either..

I think there is something wrong with the hosted REPOs
Im also getting this when I try to do a yum update (after yum clean all)

http://mirror1-orem.clearsdn.com/clearos/professional/6/os/x86_64/repodata/repomd.xml: [Errno 12] Timeout on http://mirror1-orem.clearsdn.com/clearos/professional/6/os/x86_64/repodata/repomd.xml: (28, 'connect() timed out!')

Will post a separate thread about it.

All the repos are listed in /etc/yum.repos.d. You could check for duplicates, but first of all I'd try a "yum clean all && yum update".
