I have a question before I purchase Owncloud.
Dreamhost have a cloud setup called DreamObjects with which Owncloud is
compatible. Owncloud can be configured to allow DreamObjects to be
accessed by External Storage.
Is this function able to be set up with the owncloud / clearos marketplace
app.
The DreamObjects information is at -

Thank you

Hi Robyn, although I've never used it I can confirm that Owncloud 7 in the marketplace allows you to add external storage type Amazon S3 as shown in the DreamObjects instructions. This is done with the default 'admin' user in the Owncloud administration page.
External storage can be mounted per user or for everyone -

It works with Dropbox (sort of), so I've no reason to believe there's a problem with any of the other file sharers.
NB: the default ownCloud installation (from the Market Place) has already undergone3 (3?) updates from the ownCloud servers.
EDIT:
The 'sort of' is a result of a number of mp4 files (downloaded from my phone) that appear quite happily in Dropbox, but that ownCloud reports errors with, and which have now disappeared from the ownCloud directories - although they're still there in the matching Dropbox directories. Says to me that there's a sync issue with ownCloud when talking to external storage. Mirrors this thread; https://github.com/owncloud/core/issues/377 - could be a Dropbox-specific issue. -
