Bug
PPPoE over VLAN
Hi,
I know this setup looks uncommon but my ISP require me to have a PPPoE over VLAN to access the internet.
I'm currently evaluating ClearOS instead of pfSense/opnsense but ClearOS want to connect to internet right away before continuing.
How I can create a VLAN (id:35) and apply it to a PPPoE configuration to continue to setup/registration of clearOS?
Thank you very much!
Laurent

It looks odd and can generate errors but have you tried configuring your WAN as a PPPoE interface then create a VLAN interface based on that?
Alternatively, I have not tried it, but can you create a VLAN Interface of a standard interface, but create it as PPPoE? I may give it a go tomorrow, but I have no way of testing if it works as I don't use PPPoE at all. -

There is definitely some kind of bug in the VLAN setup/creation of ClearOS. No matter what I cannot get it to work. However if I VLAN tag ports on my switch to match centurylink's vlan as required and then plug clearOS into one of those ports, it instantly logs in with the PPPoE interface and gets an IP address and works well. -
