I've used BMB on COS6 quite successfully and so didn't expect any issues when everything was moved to COS7 - however, having just gone into check the status of my daily backups, I find there aren't any! - the disk reports initialised ok, but there don't appear to be any archives. Anyone come across the same thing and what do I need to be checking for (what service), or is it via a chron job?

BMB was a third party app which has subsequently been donated to Clearcenter, but there is not a maintainer for it. There have been a couple of patches done earlier this year to assist with USB device detection but nothing else, I believe. It is not an app I uses and written in PHP which I don't know. I guess it means looking through the logs for a start to see if there are any clues. I've no idea how it schedules as it does not come with a /etc/cron.d or /etc/cron.daily file. -

Ok, sussed. The system disk was failing and suffering unreadable sectors. Now have a new system disk and the backups are being created as expected.
Thank you 'Smart Monitor'/Tim Burgess - used to have it on 6.3, but only just added it to 7. REALLY think SM should be a free app(!) as it's the only simple way to keep an eye on the well being (or otherwise) of the disks!!
