Hi,
I've installed Windows Networking and Flex Shares. Everything is configured and working except one problem
If i add a new flex share and I enable windows file share, I can't select an existing filesystem folder to be that share.
Is it possible to select an existing folder and share it ?
For example
/storage/documents to be shared as \\server\docs ?
Edit:
I have found a solution by editing the fstab and adding a bind entry.
1 create your flex shares
2 edit the fstab like this for each share that you have:
/exisiting/folder/source /var/flexshare/shares/name_of_share none bind,rw 0 0
3 run "mount -all"
4 go to each flex share and re-apply the permision for that folder by going to Edit and then hit Update.
This step is needed so that the rights will be applied recursively to the binded folder.
Hope this helps someone.
