I have ClearOS 7 community edition and it runs a DHCP server. In other topics I was asking you how to make DHCP available to pre-definied mac addresses. We have came up with the sollution to add
dhcp-ignore=#known
to the file /etc/dnsmasq.d/dhcp.conf
. Then restarted dnsmasq. This worked, nobody new got an IP address. Now I had to add a new computer to the network. Went to the webconfig, added the MAC and IP to the DHCP servers "Leases". Done. But the client still not recieving an IP address. OK, remove the
dhcp-ignore=#known
. Still not recieveing IP address. As it turned out, an old VM, I had earlier also did not get any IP address, however, before the times I wanted to deny all unknown macs, it was working. Not that doesn't work neither.Sooooo, any idea?
