Hello all.
I want to import a new EssentialSSL wildcard certificate (third party- via Namecheap) using this steps (in ClearOS Community Edition 7):
System > Security > Certificate manager > External certificate > import (*.crt & *.key & *.intermediate).
After adding all neccessary information, this message appears:
" Warning
Invalid file detected."
I have two questions about this:
1. in which log can I find details about this error?
2. can this problem be due to the use of ECC algorithm instead of "classic" RSA ?
I hope that someone of you could send me in the right direction.
Best regards,
Valentin

I don't know how any validation works, so you'll have to cheat. Put the cert, key and intermediate cert in /etc/clearos/certificate_manager.d. They must be called XXX.crt, XXX.intermediate and XXX.key. There is some bad validation on the allowable file name, so avoid a ".". If you do have one, you can only have a single character after it! XXX can be any alphanumeric, _ or -.
