ClearOS Feature Request
Upgrade for Owncloud on ClearOS Home?
Owncloud is currently at version 10. ClearOS has Owncloud 8.2.4, which is past end of life and is unsupported. I do see that there is a 9.1.5 version in the epel-unverified/7/x86_64 repo, is there any timeline for that to be moved to production?
I am a ClearOS Home subscriber, so I obviously installed the 8.2.4 version via the marketplace. I am perfectly capable of manually upgrading owncloud to the latest version on my own, but what is the likely fallout from doing that when the day comes that ClearOS does push a new version to production? Is there a way for me to tell ClearOS to not upgrade owncloud automatically, but continue all other updates as usual?
I am really just looking for the Contacts application for owncloud, and that appears to not be installed as part of the ClearOS build. As this version is past end of life, the Contacts app for 8.2.4 isn't available in the Owncloud Marketplace. If there is a way to get the Contacts app for owncloud 8.2.4, I would be able to be wait much more patiently for ClearOS to upgrade Owncloud.
Thanks!

See this link. I understood he was progressing well but I don't know the current status. Nothing has been pushed to contribs-testing yet, assuming that is where it will go initially.
