Hi,

After googleling a while I need to edit /etc/postfix/main.cf file and change :
inet_interfaces = localhost
To =>
inet_interfaces = $myhostname, localhost

In order to SMTP to listen to NIC port 25.

Why ?
How should I do this on WebGui ?

    @Dirk, that is the template file copied in by the install routine, /usr/clearos/apps/smtp/deploy/install, to overwrite /etc/postfix/main.cf. In /usr/clearos/apps/mail_routing/deploy/install, it ges set to "all" on-the-fly. I suspect the mail_routing app also gets installed when you install the SMTP Server app.

    Hmm. Mine defaults to "all" so I've never had to change it.

    You need to install the app-smtp app for the default configuration to take effect otherwise the default is for security purposes...just to allow local services from mailing out via Postfix.

    Same thing here... only localhost was allowed to send mail. Googled a lot and the only solution I found was to edit /etc/postfix/main.cf manually. It should be able to set inet_interfaces via Webconfig.

    You can - or at least the system can for you. If you are trying to use ClearOS as a mail server, install the Mail Server app from the marketplace. It will do this for you.

    You sure you don't wanna be looking in /usr/clearos/apps/smtp/deploy/main.cf? Mine shows "all" in /etc/postfix/main.cf, but it shows "localhost" in /usr/clearos/apps/smtp/deploy/main.cf. I think the latter is what the Marketplace's mail server app would be using.
