Silverfast Software Registration Blocked
I am running Clearos Community 7 as my firewall.
I have Gateway Antivirus, Intrusion Detection, and Intrusion Prevention installed.
Here is a list of installed services in case I missed something.
nscd
dnsmasq
clearsync
snort
snortsam
arpwatch
slapd
postfix
sshd
suvad
system-mariadb
rsyslog
crond
I am trying to register and check for updates for SIlverfast 8 SE software om a Windows 10 system. All this is done from within SIlverfast. When I try this then Silverfast says:
-----------------------------------------------
Currently loading content from the internet...
If this message remains there is a problem with the internet connection and/or firewall setting.
----------------------------------------------
It just sits there forever waiting to connect.
The PC has McAfee on it. I turned off Mcafee firewall and real time scanning but that did not help.
I then turned off Gateway Antivirus, Intrusion Detection, and Intrusion Prevention but that did not help either.
The following ar ethe services that are currently turned off.
nscd
snort
snortsam
arpwatch
slapd
Any idea how to allow SIlverfast to connect so I can register and update it?

How to Change LAN IP Address for All Apps
My old ClearOS 5 gateway has a LAN IP address of 192.168.1.1. I am setting up a new CleaOS 7.2 Gateway system. Its WAN is temporarily connected to the LAN of the old system.
In order for DNS to work, I had to set the new system's LAN IP address to 192.168.2.1.
When I put the new system into operation then I would like to change its LAN IP address to 192.168.1.1 as well.
I had tried changing it through the menu but the firewall stopped passing anything.
My question is therefore, in what places do I have to change the IP address so that it takes effect everywhere?
I imagine that the Content Filter needs fixing also.
Thanks,

Marketplace is working for me too since the update yesterday.

I tried Chrome and Developer tools and still get the same result saying no packages selected.
I turned on debugging and tried again. I have attached the resulting debug.log in zipped form.
Thanks,
Joe

@Bill - First, try a different browser than what you were using...use Chrome and the Developer Tools (F12) and see if it is a) browser dependant and b) if there are any console log messages.
Second, turn on debugging (touch /etc/clearos/webconfig.debug) and try using the Marketplace again. Send us your /var/log/webconfig/debug.log for analysis.
Third...failing anything good with the two suggestions above, if you like, please submit a support ticket here free of charge, selecting remote access via SSH so we can login and try and duplicate what you're seeing.

I set the lease time to 4 weeks but that did not release any addresses yet, so I edited the file that you mentioned and that did it for me..
The path on ClearOS 5 was actually. /var/misc/dnsmasq.leases.
Thanks,
Joe

Leases are held in /var/lib/dnsmasq/dnsmasq.leases. You may need to stop dnsmasq before you edit the file.
[edit]
From the webconfig you can set the lease time to 4 weeks (in 6.x. I don't know about 5.x). If this is not enough, you can manually edit /etc/dnsmasq.d/dhcp.conf.

I reinstalled Clearos. In the setup wizard I selected Content filter and then hit next. As soon as I did that, most of the files below appeared in the framework/cache directory. There are no mp-cart-... files.

No apps have been selected for installation.
Looks similar to what's being posted here, but in fact, your issue is very, very different. Nothing to do with Yum or repos and everything to do with your browser and how an ajax call submitted to the server when you select an app for installation is used to maintain state of your selected apps.
When you click on an app (highlight) for installation, you should find a new (or updated) file on your server in /var/clearos/framework/cache/mp-cart.xxxxxx
Where xxxxx will be some random session number.
To help yourself with some troubleshooting, remove any old sessions of that cached file:
Go back to Marketplace and refresh the page...add an app.
If you don't see that file being created, that's where we need to start looking. If you do see that file, and you go to the "Install selected apps" page and the table show nothing, I'd be surprised, but we need to troubleshoot that differently.
Report back and we'll see if we can get to the root cause.

How to Release IP address Leases
After years of using Clearos 5.x with the DHCP server set to provide leases for unlimited time, I have run out of IP addresses.
How can I manually release specific IP addresses?
I do not want to set the lese time very low.
Thanks,

Ben,
I do not get any mp-cart-xxxxxx files created in that directory when I select an item for install.
The cache folder is owned by root with permissions drwxrwxrwt.
I run into this problem during the initial setup wizard when it gives me the option to install Marketplace apps, so I have not done much yet to affect teh system.
Any ideas what to look at next to fix this?
Thanks,
Joe

I am having the same problem. I select the packages in the marketplace that I install then hit install and it jumps to the install page saying "No apps have been selected for installation."
My repo list is shown below.
I did run:
yum-config-manager --enable clearos-updates
Updating through the GUI did work. Also, I can install apps successfully using yum.
I have reinstalled several times and have the same problem.
The computer that I am using to connect to the server is running WIndows 10. I tried using the latest Firefox and also the Edge browser.
Any idea how to fix?

I tried to install grub2 from the command line as follows
grub2-install --recheck --no-floppy --root-directory=/ /dev/sda
i got a message
grub2-install error hostdisk/sda appears to contain a ufs filesystem which isn't known to reserve space for dos-style boot
I found the following solution at http://askubuntu.com/questions/126146/i-cant-install-grub2
**********************************************************************************************************************************
It appears that you somehow got an iso9660 filesystem header written into your hard disk's boot track. Since your first partition starts at sector 2048, and you are using the conventional msdos partition table, you can eliminate it by writing zeros to sectors 1-2047 with the following command:
sudo dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sda bs=512 seek=1 count=2047
**********************************************************************************************************************************
I ran this command. After that then Clearos 7.2 installed! -
