Not 100% certain, but a good guess on why you continue to receive emails for new posts is because you are a moderator of the Web Site category.

@James,
I noticed the catchpa had gone but I was not sure if that was when they reinstated my moderator privileges and they could have gone hand in hand.
I also notice that Michael Proper is using in post comments (or whatever they are called). I've never seen this sort of thing before and I find it mighty confusing as the comments are completely out of chronological order and very hard to spot.
... and another thing for the ClearCenter team. When you reply you are automatically subscribed to the post (yuck) but the mail icon in the first post only gives you the option of subscribing and not unsubscribing. You need to refresh the post the get the unsubscribe icon. -

@Peter Broch,
Did you checked your "notification settings". Edit: I see you already checked "my notifications". With the "notification settings" tab you can disable "likes" etc notifications. -

Changing the notification settings applies to future forum threads, but the old threads (aka subscriptions) are still active. In top right menu, there's a My Subscriptions menu item and you can delete all your subscriptions from that page.
@Peter
Been there, done that. Yet, I am still receiving the odd emails. What else to do?
Cheers

2 more things.
1 - something has gone wrong with the forum display order data in both Win7/Firefox and Android Chrome. The threads are not showing how long ago they were last active and the display order is incorrect. The top post may be correct but the thread Zarafa how to authenticate mobile users is showing last posted to 1 day ago but it was posted to about 7 hours ago. The thread above it, All In One ClearOS 6.6 NAS server tutorial [DUTCH] shows last posted to one day ago so is correct, but it should show below the previously mentioned post.
2 - On Chrome/Android I have lost the Login button. The only way to login now is to go into a thread and at the bottom of it you get the option to log in. I have tried clearing the cache. -

This morning 2 replies were added to the Zarafa how to authenticate mobile users thread. I received 4 e-mail notifications, 3 from the first post and one from the second. I am not subscribed to the thread (nothing showing in My Subscriptions and the mail icon with a "+" showing in the first post of the thread)
I also got multiple e-mails from this thread I thought it was more replies but it was the same reply from before, it's very strange.. Also is there a way that if you have done captcha that it verifies you are not a spammer for the day then the next day you have to put it in again?-
Michael Propermore than a month agoThe captcha has been modified. Please advise if you see continued issues. :)

@Nick,
I believe, I have managed to set notification by email to "no" globally. Strangely, I still get the odd notification such as one for your post concerning mails still arriving. But I have not been notified on Marcel's reply, nor your own subsequent replies. It would be nice to know how to handle this properly.

I don't think the notification subscription options are working correctly. I received a "Like" e-mail today yet I have the Like e-mail option set to No. I also automatically seem to subscribe to any post I reply in even though I have all the Comments e-mail settings set to No.
I think you must unsubscribe for every post you reply to.

..... and I am now getting e-mails where I am un-subscribed from a thread but have replied to it.

Have I confused Comments with Conversations. I am guessing Conversations are things like PM's but I don't know. Can thisplease be clarified here and in the menu's?

It's tiny, but there's an unsubscribe icon in the first post.
Great, I found it! What a relief. Now, where do I find the Icon that sets "unsubscribe" as my default for all threads, existing and future ones alike? Or is it a better strategy to adjust my spam filter to ditch everything from [email protected]?
Cheers

Michael Propermore than a month agoPeter, Marcel, Nick & Tim - You are all marked as a Moderator. Removal from the Moderator list will limit the emails. NOTE: Today was noisy as the email system was just turned on. Give it a week and advise if you would like to be pulled from the Moderator list.

Same here...
If i vist my posts (top corner on the left) it just shows only one page of my posts. The second page goes back to the main forum.
Did you see the typo "Lgoin & Tools"?-

No disturbing of the customer services when browsing the forums is a good decision! I appreciated that Clearfoundation/Clearcenter is listing to it's community. So it's up to the community to help all new users!

I have another issue with posting with code tags. Please look at this post. I tried to make it like:
but it always appears as a single line:# By device
/dev/sdb1 /mnt/disk2 ext3 defaults,noatime 1 1# By Device /dev/sdb1 /mnt/disk2 ext3 defaults,noatime 1 1
I cannot reproduce that in this post, but it happens every time I edit the other post.
[edit]
....... and now this one has started displaying incorrectly. THe first "code" block should display split over 2 lines.
[/edit]
[edit2]
It looks like it displays correctly initially but very soon after the screen jumps a bit and two lines become one. Could it be some js function running later which breaks it? This is in Firefox even with Adblock Edge disabled.
Again it displayed OK when I saved this edit but when I refreshed the screen it went wrong.

Two other issues. I felt adventurous and looked into "my posts".
1. It showed a handful of posts date marked "more than month", which is correct but not informative when talking posts originating from January 2010. Could we have proper dates in the lists instead?
2. When I tried to scroll up in the list I was returned to the "all" list. I think it would be better if the website retained location, i.e. "my posts" in this case.
Cheers

I appreciate your response. I followed your instructions but sadly, the issue is not resolved on my IE 11 with all updates. It's a Win 8.1 machine if that matters.

AFA as login is concerned, it strikes me that hiding it under the 'tools' option is a bit odd. Once you know where it is it's ok - but for the new user ...? I know I spent some time hunting around when this particular incarnation of the forums came online.
Second question; you (Michael) say that the catchpa will disappear with useage .. how long are we talking about? - roughly. I've now used the new forum a number of times, but I'm still seeing it.-
Michael Propermore than a month agoRichard - The Tools header has changed to Logins. :) And will find a definitive answer regarding your "catchpa" question.

can you make it easier to post a question in the forum? From login, the site asks me to select my type, then takes me to my dashboard, then if I go back to forums, the process repeats itself. I posted a question thinking it would auto sort, but it appears to be on my 'blog'.
Site opinion.
The new layout looks modern but its also bloated. And it feels like clear is pushing more the direction of 'buy my product' then use my product and lets make it better. and then there is a captcha??? so we are going with a modern look and stone age mechanics?
Mike Hancock - Welcome to the new site. Appreciate constructive feedback:
1) The intended login process should start in the top right, unless you enter an incorrect user name and password then you would be directed to your Dashboard. Not sure how you ended-up posting on your Blog and not on the Forums. This is a first. Feel free to message me directly regarding this if you continue to see/have issues. NOTE: Unlike the old clearfoundation.com Forums you only have one login to view both social and forums.
2) The "captcha" is to limit SPAMMERS and will go away for folks who use the site often, it's based upon Forums usage. -

Yeah the live chat box is particularly intrusive when browsing the forums - can this just be configured to appear only on product pages?
One thing I've noticed - blocking the customer scrolling ticker at the bottom of the page (via ABP in Chrome) results in a much more interactive page load and scroll experience, the constant scrolling in javascript seems to make things kinda jerky even in well powered machines/browsers...
EDIT: As others have noticed the 'oldest/latest' buttons up top don't seem to work any more, and default page view is with newest reply at the top?
Folks - You should now see real-time chat help removed from the Forums. No more help for newbies by ClearCenter chat agents. Thank you and others for helping newbies feel welcome and received help / guidance if needed. Appreciate all you do. -

Customer service on the forums isn't necessary but that is my opinion. I think people can find it annoying when every time this box is poping up. If it's once or twice it's okay but more... -

CSS tweak for comments box font
tools.css
blockquote, blockquote p {
