Hi all

I know its EOL, but our 5.2 server has been so stable and the interruption of a upgrade/migration problematic, that we have deferred a complete server upgrade.

I just received notice from the security desk of our ISP that it is imperative we at least upgrade to Apache 2.4.23; this problem being that this is not in the repos, and would required spinning an rpm, trying a 3rd party repo, or compiling Apache. All fraught with risks, and which it seems to me will trigger other upgrades, ie PHP.

Has anyone by chance done this Apache upgrade?

Thanks
Ken

    Hi Nick

Yeah, kinda figured I was S.O.L. on this; I am reluctant to compile from source as the generic directory structures and config files are likely quite different than the COS structures. In addition I am probably the one-and-only running eGroupware on COS

My next option is to move the server onto the LAN, and get everyone needing outside access to start using VPN. The I can defer the new server migration for a bit longer.

    Thanks
    Ken

A long time ago Tim compiled updated php packages for 5.2 but I don't think anyone compiled an Apache update.
