Thank you Nick
In budget for upgrade in early 2019.
I really do like ClearOS as our current email server has been Maytag reliable - drawback being that I lose my admin skills due to lack of issues .
Been a fan since the old ClarkConnect days
cheers

How to reject spoofed email addresses?
Hi all
I have an older 5.2 server used for email. (yes plan to upgrade soon...)
We are getting a lot of nuisance emails that use spoofed but valid email addresses from our own domain, where the message is from and to the same address. I can view the header and see that the message originates from outside. I can also see in the mail log the message comes from off-site.
Is there an easy fix to check and block emails that have valid sender address, but come from outside our domain?
thanks

Hi Nick
Yeah, kinda figured I was S.O.L. on this; I am reluctant to compile from source as the generic directory structures and config files are likely quite different than the COS structures. In addition I am probably the one-and-only running eGroupware on COS
My next option is to move the server onto the LAN, and get everyone needing outside access to start using VPN. The I can defer the new server migration for a bit longer.
Thanks

Upgrade Apache 2.2-> 2.4 on COS5.2
Hi all
I know its EOL, but our 5.2 server has been so stable and the interruption of a upgrade/migration problematic, that we have deferred a complete server upgrade.
I just received notice from the security desk of our ISP that it is imperative we at least upgrade to Apache 2.4.23; this problem being that this is not in the repos, and would required spinning an rpm, trying a 3rd party repo, or compiling Apache. All fraught with risks, and which it seems to me will trigger other upgrades, ie PHP.
Has anyone by chance done this Apache upgrade?
Thanks

Hi all I am still using EGW 1.8 on ClearOS5.2 - I have had very few minor problems, so have not had to spend much time on the forums or in this group. I have been considering the possibility of migrating to ClearOS 6.x, and would like to know if anyone else is still using EGW and considering the same? cheers Ken
